A timeline of 40 years

On Saturday 30th March, staff, supporters and volunteers will gather together in Westminster Chapel to celebrate 40 years of prison ministry in England and Wales.

Over the past forty years, there have been wonderful steps forward, like seeing the Sycamore Tree course gain accreditation in 2005. And there have been challenges too. Throughout it all we’ve known God’s faithfulness to guide us and give us the strength and vision we need.

Below is a timeline of the past 40th years. What stands out to you as you think back over your involvement or connection with Prison Fellowship? If you have any particular memories you’d like to share, email communications@prisonfellowship.org.uk.

Volunteer with PF

Volunteers are the life-blood of our organisation, and what they do in the lives of those in prison and as they pray, is incredibly valuable. If you are looking to use your time to support some of the most marginalised people in our society to transform their lives, then volunteering could be for you.
