Letter Link training – Online

When

11/10/2024
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

People in prison often feel extremely lonely and isolated, and many have lost touch with their family and friends on the outside. A letter might be the only communication someone in prison receives and can provide huge encouragement and a link to the outside world. Our letter writing programme enables prisoners to feel valued and supported while in custody.

Letter Link is a great way for people who care about prison ministry but are limited by their availability, mobility or location, to get involved. We ask you to commit to writing one letter a month as a minimum. Some connections may last six months – some six years!

The Letter Link training will cover:

  • The importance of Letter Writing
  • The Letter Writing Process
  • Security & Safeguarding

More information about Letter Link can be found on our website.

Please note this training is only open to PF volunteers, if you are not a PF volunteer you can apply to become one by visiting our website – Volunteer – Prison Fellowship

We have limited places available, so do register your interest as soon as possible.

If all the places have been filled, please visit our events page to find future training events.

“I can honestly say that I never had as much satisfaction when I worked as I do now as a volunteer.” — Arthur, Chaplaincy Support volunteer

Volunteer with PF

Volunteers are the life-blood of our organisation, and what they do in the lives of those in prison and as they pray, is incredibly valuable. If you are looking to use your time to support some of the most marginalised people in our society to transform their lives, then volunteering could be for you.
