10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Sycamore Tree (ST) is a Restorative Justice course that teaches the principles of restorative justice. It is taught in prisons in groups of up to 20 learners by PF volunteers. Learners undertaking the course explore the effects of crime on victims, offenders, and the community, and discuss what it would mean to take responsibility for their actions. This training day focuses on the role of a group facilitator.

The Group Facilitator training will cover:

  • Introduction to the Vision and Values of PF
  • What is the ST course?
  • The Role & Responsibilities of a Group Facilitator
  • The Story of Zac – Restorative Justice
  • Basic induction training

“I can honestly say that I never had as much satisfaction when I worked as I do now as a volunteer.” — Arthur, Chaplaincy Support volunteer

Volunteer with PF

Volunteers are the life-blood of our organisation, and what they do in the lives of those in prison and as they pray, is incredibly valuable. If you are looking to use your time to support some of the most marginalised people in our society to transform their lives, then volunteering could be for you.
